To put the education philosophy into practice, Sojo University Graduate School seeks individuals who are equipped with the basic knowledge and practical skills in specialized fields of “lives and living,” a willingness to explore new fields with broad knowledge, creativity, and unique ideas as well as a sense of internationalism and strong ethics.

Curriculum Policy (policy for organization/implementation of curricula)

In accordance with the education philosophy, Sojo University Graduate School organizes curricula according to the following policy. We develop the capabilities to appropriately position one’s research in the specialized field, discuss its achievements and purpose at a high level, and establish a cooperation system as necessary. We also develop the capabilities to have an insight into the nature of things and deepen one’s research, view research with a strong responsibility and a high sense of ethics, and to critically consider human beings and our co-existence with nature.
In the master's programs in particular, we foster research capabilities in specialized fields and highly specialized capabilities as a professional. Furthermore, in the doctoral programs, we foster independent researchers who can be active internationally and individuals with leadership in various specialized fields.

Diploma Policy (policy for granting degrees)

To those who have stayed in the school for a predetermined period, taken courses of education programs that are set according to the curriculum policy of the graduate school, acquired credits equal to or more than the credits set as the standard, and passed the academic dissertation examinations and tests, we grant academic degrees. In academic dissertation examinations and tests, papers are assessed based on whether they have an academic purpose, novelty, creativity and value in application of the corresponding research, whether the degree applicant is equipped with the ability to accelerate the research, ability to theoretically explain the research achievements, a wide range of expertise related to the research field, and a sense of ethics in academic research as well as other standards. Those who have made significant advancement in study and research are allowed to complete the graduate school course by shortening the period of attendance at school.
