KAKEHASHIプロジェクト報告　【topic 4: 参加者インタビュー】

KAKEHASHIプロジェクトの参加者にインタビューを行いました。

参加者：杉山さん（Ms. Sugiyama）
・参加した理由
これまでも留学プロジェクトに応募してきましたが、その機会を逃していました。研究室の先生にかけはしプロジェクトの話を聞いたときは、就職活動で忙しい時期だったので、応募するかとても迷いました。しかし友達の励ましもあり、これが学生生活で最後のチャンスだと思って、挑戦することに決めました。

・The reason for participation
This is my last chance for study abroad in my school life. I had challenged other exchange programs, but I was not able to participate them. I was busy looking for a job, so I was wondering if I should do. Then my friend encouraged me, and I determined to apply for this project.


・大変だったこと
応募から参加までに書類審査、プレゼンテーション審査がありました。その1週間はとても充実していました。強い思いを持った学生が集まっているので、その思いを短期間で一つのプレゼンテーションにまとめることが大変でした。みんなが同じ意識で協力することで、納得のいくプレゼンテーションができた時は感動しました。

・The most difficult things
We had a screening of the documents and the presentation from entry to pass. I had a productive week. It was hard for us to put it in one presentation in a short period of time because each student has different thought. When we finished making presentation, we shared our joy to be able to cooperate with everyone towards the same purpose.


・学んだこと
初めての海外だったので、日本では体験できなかったこと全てが新鮮で楽しかったです。日米の文化の違いを肌で感じて、日本のことをさらに好きになれました。他国への興味も深まりました。みんなで一つのものをつくりあげるうえで、意見交換が大切であることを感じました。

・Learned things
It was my first trip abroad, so all things which I could in the USA are interesting. I felt some culture differences between Japan and the US, and I love Japan more than before this trip. I also found that it is important for meeting to express my own opinion and listen others opinion.



参加者：山下さん（Mr. Yamashita）
・参加した理由
僕は、高校の時から外国にすごく興味がありました。9月頃、先生からかけはしプロジェクトについて聞きました。始めは勉強や試験のことを考えて、参加するのは難しいと思っていましたが、20歳までにはアメリカに行くという夢があり、良い機会だと思い参加することにしました。今では良い判断だったと思います。

・The reason for participation
I've been interested in foreign countries from high school. In September, I heard about KAKEHASHI project from my professor. At first, I thought "it's so difficult to attend this project because I am so busy to study now". But I decided in mind to go USA before 20 years old, so it's a big chance for me. Then I changed my mind to attend KAKEHASHI project. I now think that I've chosen the best thing for me.


・大変だったこと
アメリカの方と話す際、たまに聞き取れなかったり、うまく話せなかったりして大変でした。もっと英語を勉強しようと思います。他のかけはしのメンバーがなかなかアメリカの食事に馴染めないこともありましたが、僕は普通に食べられましたし、とても美味しかったです。笑

・The most difficult things
I had some chances to talk with American people in Indianapolis. But sometimes I couldn't understand what American people said and convey my thinking to them correctly. So I think I must make more effort to be good English speaker. And other members of this project often couldn't eat American food, but I ate some foods and I think it's very delicious!


・学んだこと
いろんな意味で世界が一つになっていると感じました。アメリカで会った女性は一時期、僕の育った神奈川県に住んでいたと聞きました。世界のどこの国でも飛行機などで行くことができます。今やほとんどの国々が様々なことで結びつき、世界のことを知るのも難しいことではないと思います。これから、僕は色々な国のことばを学んで、色々な国の知識を身につけたいです。もし外国に行ってみたいと思っている人は、ためらわず積極的になってみてください。

・Learned things
This world is not so big in some meanings, for example, I met one woman who lived in my hometown it's Fujisawa in Kanagawa. What a coincidence! And we can go to many countries in the world easily by plane and other transportations. Now it's not so difficult to know a lot of things in the world because all of countries are connected each other some ways in the world. From now I will study a lot of languages in the world, and I want to get knowledge as much as possible. If you want go abroad, don't be afraid, don't hesitate. You can go everywhere you want.
